Alerts to Exceedances
Ensuring that your water test results are within regulated limits means screening every test result. Doing this manually to compare each result to the standards is time-consuming because the majority of water test results are within acceptable parameters. WaterTrax automatically screens every water test result, compares it against standards, and generates alerts only when any water or wastewater test result exceeds user-defined parameters.
Screening water test results manually is tedious because you cannot skip a single result. There is no manual system or set of procedures to process only those test results that are out of exceedance. You expend extraordinary effort manually screening results for every test period: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
WaterTrax clients manage day to day operations by exception, remedying situations that arise from water test results out of exceedance only. WaterTrax screens all test results and generates alerts only when staff are required to take remedial action. This frees your staff from the tedium of examining every single test result manually.
Keeping up when regulatory standards change is easy because WaterTrax staff routinely check standards and update the WaterTrax Parameters Database for all jurisdictions in North America. In fact, WaterTrax allows you to set alert levels that are lower than regulatory limits so that you can maintain a higher standard than required by law.
Significant time lags between noticing an exceedance and notifying appropriate staff may occur when using manual systems. WaterTrax generates alerts to exceedances immediately upon receipt of water test results from labs and other sources like log sheets, field test kits, or inline instruments. This nearly instantaneous alert feature allows you to take immediate corrective action to remedy the situation.
You may need to alert multiple staff, depending on the severity of the exceedance, vacation schedules, and staff availability. Manually alerting the right people is difficult, error-prone, and may lead to missed alerts. WaterTrax lets you notify multiple staff members and lets you set who receives alerts for what events.

"I now know immediately when a sample might be close to the MCL, and being able to monitor this effortlessly is important to us. Knowing that I’m not missing any exceedance helps me sleep at night. With WaterTrax, we’ve not only significantly improved our ability to monitor the health of our wells, but also our ability to respond if and when necessary."
