Web Application QA Analyst
WaterTrax provides a software suite of easy-to-use, cost effective, water and wastewater information management products to help organizations manage their data efficiently, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Established in 2000, WaterTrax has a growing client list of more than 200 leading municipalities and agencies that manage over 3,500 water and wastewater systems across North America.We have an immediate opening for a Web Application QA Analyst to join the application development team.
Responsibilities:
- Review product and system functional requirements
- Create test plans and test cases to ensure that overall quality is delivered
- Execute manual test cases and scripts
- Perfect candidate must be able to create,maintain, and execute automated test cases
- Identify and explore defects
- Document and validate resolution of identified defects
- Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies
- Work closely with Client Services team to help evaluate application defects reported and make recommendations for their corrections
- Assist in release process (e.g. documenting release notes, etc.)
- Track efforts spent on releases
- Self-motivated, resourceful problem solver
- Strong team player – work as a team to efficiently create web solutions to the customers’ satisfaction
- Passionate about web technologies, ability to learn new technologies quickly, and demonstrate an on-going upgrade of web skills and knowledge
- Dedicated and determined to produce high quality product on time
- Attention to fine details in QA planning and testing process
- Excellent communicator and ability to promptly create clearly written documentation
- Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines
- Desire and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3 years of hands on experience in web application testing
- Certification in Software Engineering and Quality Assurance is a plus
- Experience in using bug tracking system
- Has experience working with test automation systems such as Selenium, Quick Test Professional, Microsoft Test Tools
- Working knowledge of MS TFS
