Andrew Lewis, P.Eng

Director Product Strategy

Andrew Lewis is a professional engineer with over 18 years of environmental compliance and utility management experience. Throughout his career, Andrew has led numerous projects to improve drinking water, wastewater, and solid waste management systems; as well as projects to clean up contaminated sites, and reduce air emissions. In addition to finding solutions for protecting human health and the environment, he has written and spoken extensively on drinking water, wastewater and biosolids management solutions at both an operational and regulatory level.

 

Bruce Boland, P.Eng.

WaterTrax Instructor

Bruce’s career in the water industry spans over 30 years and includes inspections of water and wastewater plants, setting wastewater effluent criteria and operations of facilities. His experience with the operations and management of water and wastewater systems varies in size from small water and wastewater systems ranging from those that serve only a few homes up to the 327,300 cubic meter per day (72 MIGD) Water Treatment Plant serving most of the City of London. At one time, he was a certified operator, through examination, in water treatment (level 4) and level 3 in wastewater collection, water distribution and wastewater treatment. Since 2002, he has been actively involved with water and wastewater training, project management and providing advice to municipal, private and small industrial clients. Several engineering and advisory projects have been completed including the preparation of Request for Qualification and Request for Proposals. Assistance has been provided for several municipalities to develop operating and maintenance manuals and to prepare for MOE water inspections. WaterTrax training has been provided for municipalities across Canada and the western USA as well as for First Nations across Canada. He is the author of various technical papers presented at conferences. Bruce has been a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada since 1975.

Kenny Hughes

Regional Manager

Kenny Hughes has been in the water and wastewater industry for fifteen years. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and he immediately entered the industry in his home state of Alabama, where he worked with a manufacturer's representative selling process equipment. He grew his territory to five key states in the Southeastern United States. During this expansion, Kenny gained an understanding of biological processes, chemical processes and manufacturing techniques. He used this information to become the Operations and Sales Manager for Tech Equipment and manufactured process equipment for wastewater plants throughout the Southern United States. The last position Kenny held was with Atlantic Skanska as Director of Business Development. Recognized as one of the largest contractors in the World, Atlantic Skanska and its parent company SKANSKA USA Civil have built some of the largest civil projects in North America.

 

Doug Roy, P.Eng

Regional Manager

Doug has been in the water and environmental industry for 18 years. He entered the industry after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, with an option in Water Resources. After graduation, Doug spent several years as an engineering consultant working across the world on water resources and environmental projects. During this time, Doug gained knowledge in groundwater, surface water, contaminant transport, construction management and regulatory issues. Soon after, Doug commenced his business development career designing and marketing environmental abatement systems, and then groundwater monitoring devices for use on high level contaminant and groundwater monitoring sites around the world. In addition, during this time Doug consulted private companies on these issues and worked as a regulator. Doug’s last marketing position was as the Business Development Manager, Central US, for Schlumberger Water Resources helping develop new business ventures within the water resources market.

 

Ron Jeffery B.Sc.

Regional Manager

Ron has twenty-two years of professional experience, including eight years in the environmental industry. After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in the Honours Chemistry program, Ron started his career in the manufacturing industry, including 2 years as a Production Manager at a new Magna plant. He then moved on to work for Laidlaw Environmental Services, where he sold various services including hazardous solid and liquid waste disposal services and industrial cleaning of waste treatment and water treatment facilities in Ontario. Ron also worked for Philip Services, the biggest industrial services company in Canada at the time, before switching his sales career to the software industry. Ron worked for two software companies that made real-time data monitoring and real-time connectivity to enterprise systems software. During this time, Ron was involved in developing business and launching big manufacturing plants and other projects for several Fortune 500 and other large companies around the world including Delphi, Ford, and Coca-Cola
